673 Soils
In this project members will learn the value of soils. They will discover the importance of soil type in regard to building and construction and will learn to judge soils.
Focus:
- To learn how to grow plants
- To learn about soils, fertilizer, plant growth, and the plant science industry
- To enjoy growing vegetables, fruits, and crops or working with landscape or house plants.
What members can do: (All levels)
- Tour various locations and see the effects of erosion
- Compare the amount of run off from different soil textures
- Study how soil is formed
