This is just a reminder that the information brochure for the Clover Classic is now up on the front page of the 4-H Web Site. If you or your friends would like to spend a day having fun while supporting 4-H, please join us for the tournament. You may sign up as individuals or teams. You can also help out by signing up sponsors, or by sending in prizes that represent your local community or 4-H program. If you want more details, either check the web site, or give me a call.
We've designated this fall's 4-H Day as an official alumni function for all those who signed up and paid their dues to be part of the 4-H Alumni Association. September 3rd's game against Montana State will include a tailgate party, T-shirt and game admission for those alumni who sign up. If you have alumni who would like to sign up, just have them use the sign up form that is on the 4-H web site, and mark the form “Alumni” so we know to seat them with the other alumni. If they are not currently dues-paying members, we'll invite them to join, but they can still attend this event and sit with other alumni.
This year's 4-H Ambassador Program is off to a good start. We held our annual 4-H Ambassador Retreat at the Bockelman's ranch near Slapout last weekend. Over 25 youth and adult advisors gathered for the weekend to hear inspirational remarks from Representative Ryan McMullen, Former Miss Oklahoma Elizabeth Kinney, and others. As a result of their retreat the ambassadors have established goals in three areas that are important to the Oklahoma 4-H Program: Making 4-H more visible across the State of Oklahoma; maintain relations with 4-H alumni and supporters; and help 4-H members tell the state and national 4-H story. This year's ambassadors will be in touch with district and county officers to find ways to carry out these goals. When they contact you, please welcome them to participate in programs in your area.

No. 13—Literature Order Form—July 1-December 31, 2005, was sent to counties and districts through pouch mail (2 copies ea). Leader and Office Supplies, page 1, was missing. A few price changes on the order form are effective July 1, 2005. The current order form lists websites, and more curricula will continue to be added. Since the font is small, to conserve paper on the form, counties can enlarge if needed for better readability.

No. 702—Horticultural Crop Judging Manual (no cost) replaces the Horticultural Exhibit Manual. The crops from the manual are in color on 4-H website “horticulture link.”

Nos. 746-747—Oklahoma Aqua Times Tabloid (very limited supply) and Leader Guide (no charge) is now in the review process to be added to the 4-H website.

Nos. 196-198—Visual Art 1,2, Leader Guide (.25 ea.) can be used for the county and state fairs, as several items, such as leather craft and  needlecraft, are in these manuals.
