2007-2008 State Officers
  • Team Goals
  • Officer Profiles
  1. Develop and utilize good communication skills as an officer team and use them to make 4-H more visible in Oklahoma.
  2. Remain active at the local, county and district levels while fulfilling our duties as state officers.
  3. Complete the original state goal for Habitat for Humanity - Dime Drop/Roll of Dimes project, which is to raise $54,000 to build a house. Each officer is to visit at least 5 counties to promote participation and completion of this goal. If only ½ of the states traditional club enrollment (15,000 members) supported the fund raising efforts and raised $3.60 we can complete our goal of $54,000 this year.
  4. Continue to support and encourage participation in the “Each One Reach One” project.
  5. Encourage counties to double participation in Roundup by encouraging past delegates to recruit a new participant.

In the song by Tim McGraw, “Live Like You Where Dying” a man is told he doesn’t have much time to live.   The man takes stock of what is really important in his life.  I speak about learning from 4-H experiences, moving on without regret, valuing what we have and not taking it for granted, and the importance of taking advantage of 4-H opportunities.
