Deadline: December 7, 2007

This conference theme is “Reaching Out From the Heartland Globally and Culturally”. The conference will include hands-on sessions that involve youth in solving issues central to their lives, families and communities in a global society. This four-day experience will broaden their horizons and insights into the world in which they live.

Youth will participate in tours, workshops, service learning opportunities and cultural events to help them prepare for the future. Mixers, dances and other programs will provide them opportunities to meet other youth from Arkansas, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska and Missouri. Youth delegates must be 15 years of age.

The upcoming conference will be held March 12-15, 2008 at the Airport Hilton Hotel in Kansas City, Missouri. The Oklahoma delegation will travel together by bus on Wednesday morning March 12, 2008, travel all day and arrive in Kansas City prior to the opening of the conference. On the return trip, the group will depart from Kansas City on Saturday morning, March 15, to travel back to Oklahoma.
