Agriculture in the Geography Classroom
Produced for Agriculture in the Classroom under a cooperative
agreement between Cooperative State, Research, education and Extension
Service of the United States Department of Agriculture and the University
of North Dakota's Upper Midwest Aerospace Consortium
Students explore the soil and vegetation found in their home
and/or school environment and map a familiar area.

Students use maps to find what crops are dominant in areas where
honey bees are raised and discuss possible correlations.

Students make maps to show where the agricultural products used
to produce various packaged snacks are grown.
|
|
Students research and map federal land holdings
and explore the benefits of having land held in trust by the federal
government. Students will also discuss acceptable uses for public
land. |
