"After completing the lessons about cotton and making a quilting pattern in the lesson "Piece by Piece," my class of six girls literally begged me to make a real quilt. So we are now in the process of making six small quilts. They do not want to do anything else except work on their quilts. They have found an interest in the craft of quilting which is very unusual in the technological world in which we live. This has also opened a line of communication between these girls and their grandmothers and other older ladies from the community that quilt."
